In other news, we found a home for Little Shitter! One of my colleagues has raised several parakeets and was thrilled to welcome LS into his home!

Wir haben Little Shitter ein Zuhause gefunden! Ein Kollege hat viele Wellensittichen erzogen und freute sich sehr den kleinen Kerl zu begrüßen!

Our neighbor found this little guy today. After giving him some food (he was looking awfully woozy), he was going to set it loose again when no pet shops would take it. Since that would spell certain doom, he is now hanging out with us (snoozing right now after eating for a good hour!).

Now off to the coffee shop to hang a flier…

things i wish i were doing right now instead of work:

Figuring out which image of mine made it into the Women’s Art Exhibition.
I received letter from the organizer for this event saying that my “Cheap Plastic Umbrella Series” image was accepted for the exhibit. The only problem is, well, it’s a series and i submitted more than one image – digitally. I need to figure out which one got in and make a print.
Studying for my Final Cut Pro exam.
Watching making fiends

Anstatt bei der Arbeit zu sein, wuensche ich ich duerfte:

herausfinden welches foto in der Frauensausstellung akkzeptiert geworden ist.
Ich habe einen Brief bekommen, darin stand mein “Cheap Plastic Umbrella Series” Foto fuer die Ausstellung akkzeptiert geworden ist. Das Problem is, nun, es ist eine Folge und ich habe mehere davon eingereicht – auf CD. Nun musse ich herausfinden welches sie wollen und einen Abzug machen.

It started on the weekend. I had, perhaps, been knitting too much. Although i am not sure how i had the time since i was editing a music video for my final cut pro class. In any case, i ended up with this:

Es fing am Wochenende an. Ich habe vielleicht ein Bisschen zu viel gestrickt. Obwohl ich weiss gar nicvht wie das moeclich ist, da ich ein Musikvideo fuer meinen Final Cut Pro Kurz redigieren musste. Egal wie, ich habe das gekriegt:

Monday, i packed my clothes and books into my running backpack and headed home. One of my books was sitting weird and by the time i got home, i had this (although this is the semi-healed version):

Montag, habe ich meine Kleider und Buecer in meinen Laufsrucksack zusammengepackt und bin nach Hause gerannt. Ein Buch hat irgendwie falsch gelegen und als ich ankam habe ich das gekriegt (obwohl das Bild hier zeigt meinen Ruecken schon am Heilen):

Tuesday, running home again, i headed down a steep, snowy hill. Reach the bottom – safely. Step onto the parking lot. Onto the ice. Slip. Fall. Spring back up. Laugh.

Dienstag, lief ich wieder nach Hause. Lief einen steilen schneebedeckten Huegel herunter, sicher. Tratt auf den Parkplatz – aufs Eis. Rutsch! Plumps. Aufspringen. Lachen.

Wednesday and thursday have been mishap-free. Shhh…. don’t tell the universe.

Mittwoch und Donnerstag sind Missgeschicksfrei abgelaufen, aber SSHHHH, sag dem Universum nichts.
