knitting / stricken

A number of the blogs i read are done in multiple languages. Lately, i’ve been thinking of adding german to my comments, if nothing else to help keep my language skills from completely going down the tubes. After Susan’s comments this morning that a Langenscheidt test recommended that she take the beginner class (her english is really good, Langenscheidt doesn’t know shite), i decided that i really should do it. And you thought i had little to say before…

Einige Blogs die ich lese sind in mehere Sprachen geschrieben. In letzter Zeit, denke ich an die Möglichkeit Deutsch auf meinen Blog zuzufügen, wenn nur um mein Vokabulär einigermassen zu bewahren. Nach Susans Bemerkungen über einer Langenscheidtprüfung die sie geschrieben hat und wir ihr empfohlen wurde den Einfängerkurs zu nehmen (was einfach Blödsinn ist, da ihr Englisch wirklich gut ist), entschied ich es doch zu tun. Also, wenn sie schon dachten ich habe wenig zu sagen, wart mal ab - jetzt wird’s noch weniger ;)

    That’s a great idea to write bilingual! And it’s really remarkable for an English blog!
    The sock varn looks wonderful, I guess that are the Emboosed Leaves? I love this pattern!

    Wow, great idea and truely unique for a native English speaker (I’m assuming here)! And - to phrase it with typical German understatement - your German isn’t half bad ;o)

    I musste grinsen bei “Vokabulär”. Dort muss ausnahmsweise kein Umlaut rein. But don’t let that discourage you. It’s cute, really :-)

    Hey little missy,

    these elastic circulars sounds great. Here in germany we can’t buy them and ordering in the states is always a mess, they usually take snake post, so it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get things.
