apad - shadows day 6

the D-O-G and i

as i type this, DOG is lying at the door threshold, sighing. He has taken to following me more and more. He has started to give me ‘hugs’ every so often as well. His hug is to stand in front of you and press directly against you with his head and allowing you to do the same for sometimes minutes at a time. I know it is quite an honor to be hugged by D-O-G and feel very lucky that he has accepted me this much. He’s a grumpy old man, but we love him dearly.

Hannah does something similar. She thrusts her head between our legs right above our knees. And her face is always dripping wet from the water bowl — she’s not a neat drinker — so I walk around with a wet spot on my jeans. I guess I should be glad, she does the knee area so people don’t think I had an “accident”

Does DOG do that thing where he lies on the floor with his eyes wide open and glazed over, the absolute picture of total boredom?
This shadow thing is pretty interesting.
