where are the 36-hour days?

I could do with a few more hours – especially on the weekend. Well, a few more hours in the evenings wouldn’t be bad either, just no more during the work day, please.

I have still not scanned slides. Well, i did, but on SOP’s scanner and they turned out really dark. So i need to bring them in to work and use the ‘REAL’ slide/film scanner. I will do it, really. Soon.

But this weekend we mixed up some of this for the house:

milk-and-honey
milk and honey?

Actually oil paint – pre-mixing. Yes, now that the sculpture is done, it is time to finish up the soffit and fascia. The joy! The fun! Feel free to drop by and share the experience with us!

We did find time for soome of this:

tea
tea and crumpets

Finished the last of the Girl Scout cookies on Sunday, i am sorry to say. I know it had to happen sometime, but it was still a tough time.

After tea, not wanting to start the caulking, we decided to try and sandblast two of these:

red-chair
candidate for a chair portait?

we thought we could get rid of all of this on them:

red-chair2
ooh, details…

Alas, the sandblasting medium we had was too fine and four hours later, well, we weren’t all that far. That doesn’t mean we won’t be re-doing the chairs, it just means we have to develop a new plan.

In knitting news – i have been working on my Premiere Pullover. I have even finished the back and started the front. I love the feel of the yarn (Classic Elite Premiere) and only hope that it wears well also. I’d show you pictures, but it’s not all that exciting, really. I am such a slow knitter that I really don’t wish to bore anyone with posts like, “One more quarter inch done! Doesn’t it look great?!” every week. Progress photos are great for those people who actually make visible progress, but alas, they make little sense at my pace.

Fabulous chairs! I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Oh gosh, I would certainly *love* to come help you with the painting but, alas, I’m busy this weekend. And every weekend until the work is done. *laugh*
