did you ever

play pick up sticks? did they always have the balls at the end, or did they once have pointy ends that could poke your eyes out?

    I used to LOVE pick-up sticks. They were wooden, pointy goodness - no balls at the end for your eyes!

    We also used to play jarts. I looked this up on the internet to make sure I didn’t just make such a stupid word up, and this is the first site I got: http://www.jarts.com/. I like that the first page is a warning BEFORE you get to the annual tournament results.

    Ah, the good old days.

    Pick-up sticks rule. They looked like solid colored long round plastic toothpicks as I remember.

    Balls at the end? That sounds like cheating at pick-up sticks. Have you actually seen that before?
