photo a day - heading for spring

it’s been a rough week. As Jean mentioned on her blog today, “if you want to make god laugh, tell him/her your plans for tomorrow”. How true. I took a few days off for play, and well, things just didn’t really turn out, and now i am trying to turn them around - something i struggle with.
Anyway, Celtic Dreams is coming along. I got to the point (rather quickly, actually) where i could take out the markers for each pattern and leave only those for the patterns with, as i call them, fuzzy borders. I have actually started the second half of the yoke and hope to get to the point where i knit the neckline and join the body for circular goodness this weekend. The one thing is that i am looking for a different neck than the one in the pattern. The pattern uses a garter stitch neck, 3 or 4 rows, i believe. I would rather have a more structured neckline. The neck is square and in my mind i am thinking of those necklines with mitered corners. The problem is that i do not know how to do it. Looks like some research is called for.
So, can i keep up the photo a day? i hope so. The days are getting longer and at least one evening this week it was still light when i left work, so there is a chance i can get back on track.
